Long before Treffpunkt Bayrischzell existed, Bayrischzell TV was my window into the village for many years. Now the name takes on a second job: under Bayrischzell TV Classics I bring old footage from the MiniDV and VHS years back into the light.
Reel by reel I digitise and restore the tapes and publish the films here, roughly one a month. Some of it is more than twenty years old, and that is exactly the appeal: you get to see Bayrischzell the way it was back then.

25 years since the mountain riflemen re-formed
The festive evening on 2 July and the main Sunday on 10 July 2005: the Gebirgsschützen company of Bayrischzell celebrates 25 years since it was re-founded, joined by 30 guest companies from Bavaria, Tyrol and South Tyrol. The company had been re-founded on 27 June 1980 in the Zellerstüberl, by 43 men.
