Chalets between Schliersee and Bayrischzell
Chalets Bayrischzell
I've known these two chalets since they opened back in 2021. I've been out there again and again, and I know the family that runs them personally. So here's the honest truth: if I could pick any house to live in here in Bayrischzell, it would be one of these two. Not because of some luxury label, but because everything just comes together here, the craftsmanship, the atmosphere, the location.
They're two standalone vacation homes on Kranzerstrasse, a five-minute walk from the village center. Both were newly built in 2021, and both come with a sauna, hot tub, fireplace, and the kind of setup that after a few days makes you not want to leave. If you want to experience Bayrischzell with a little more room, privacy, and quality, this is probably the best address in town.
The Two Houses
Chalet Alpin and Chalet Nordic
There isn't just one chalet, there are two, and they're more than just different in name. Chalet Alpin is the larger of the two: three double bedrooms with boxspring beds, each with its own bathroom, plus an extra sleeping option. There's a sauna and relaxation area upstairs. It's a great fit for families, groups of friends, or anyone who simply wants more space. The style is classic alpine, with plenty of wood and warmth, but without the cheesy antler-and-trophy look.
Chalet Nordic is a bit more compact: two double bedrooms plus a sleeping option, and again, every room has its own bathroom. Here the sauna is on the ground floor. The style is calmer, with a Scandinavian feel and clean lines. Perfect for couples or small families who like things a little more pared back without giving up a single comfort.
Both houses share a large underground garage with separate entrances, EV charging stations, a heated ski room, and a hobby room with a sound system. Book both houses together and you've got room for a really big group.

Amenities & Location
What Makes These Chalets Special
A few things you rarely find together in Bayrischzell: a hot tub for 5 to 7 people in your own garden, the traditional wood-fired kind. A wood stove you fire up yourself. A designer kitchen with a teppanyaki cooktop and a wine fridge. A Bluetooth sound system in every room. This is no run-of-the-mill vacation rental. It's a place where the second half of the day is just as good as the hike up the mountain.
The location works both ways: five minutes on foot and you're in the village center. The Bayrischzell waterfall and the trailhead for the Wendelstein-Maennlein-Weg are close by. And right across the street sits the family hotel "Das Bayrischzell," whose offerings chalet guests can use at special rates on request, handy for the nights you'd rather not cook yourself.
The chalets often book up early, especially during hiking and ski season. Availability, prices, and booking all go directly through the family that runs them. A quick email or a phone call is all it takes.
